John has experimented with a variety of photographic techniques and processes over the years:

I have re-cycled some of my old negatives, scanning them and making inkjet prints, a number of which are included in this exhibition. In the early 1980's I developed a technique of copying my slides through textured plastic sheet to produce an 'Impressionist' effect.

My success in exhibitions promoted me to develop another technique, this time projecting slide images into puddles of water. This had the effect of distorting the image, producing unusual results.

However, as I approach my 80th birthday later this year, I find my love of photography as strong as ever.
