RPS Journal
All members receive a free copy of The Society’s highly acclaimed journal as part of their membership. The Journal is published ten times per year.

Special Interest Groups
The Society has fifteen special interest groups covering different areas of photography. New members are entitled to join a group free in their first year of membership. Find out more

Regions
Members are assigned to a region or overseas chapter based upon geographic location. The regions host regular meetings, talks and activities. Find out more

Distinctions
These are recognised as measures of achievement awarded either on the basis of a portfolio of work or qualifications already held. The three levels of Distinction are the Licentiateship (LRPS) the Associateship (ARPS) and the Fellowship (FRPS) Find out more

Online Portfolio
Members can put a portfolio of up to 22 images along with a short biography on The Society website. Find out more

Exhibitions
The Society stages three major touring exhibitions: The International Print, International Projected Image and The Society Members’ Exhibition. There is also a monthly exhibition of members’ work at Fenton House. Find out more

Education
The Society offers a wide range of lectures and workshops for members and non-members. There are also bursaries and student support for attending events. The Society works closely with schools, universities and colleges to provide teaching resources and expertise. Find out more
