Legacy Gifts to The Society
Legacy Gifts to The Society
Provide long-lasting support to The Society and photography
Making a gift to The Society or remembering The Society in your will is a way to provide a tangible benefit for future generations of photographers. It may also be a tax efficient way to minimise your own tax liability.
Recent legacies to the The Society have helped fund student bursaries, the purchase of equipment to present photography throughout the UK and have supported the building of a web-based competition and exhibition facility that will be launched early in 2012 and used for the first time for a special international competition based around the London 2012 Olympics.
The Society's new legacy brochure has been written to provide clear and informative advice about wills and inheritance tax and includes a personal perspective from renowned landscape photographer Joe Cornish HonFRPS. It is available on request or as a PDF download and includes clear guidance regarding remembering The Society in your will, examples showing how your own inheritance tax might be reduced and the different types of gifts available.
