RPS DISTINCTIONS
The Royal Photographic Society's Distinctions are recognised as measures of achievement throughout the world.

Full time photography students and under 25’s may apply for distinctions at a discounted rate.

If you have one of the following qualifications you may apply for Licentiateship without submitting examples of work:

  • A'Level- Grade A or B
  • BTEC ND in Photography
  • BTEC HNC in Photography
  • Licentiateship of the BIPP
  • Licentiateship of the MPA

Associateship

  • HND in Photography
  • Degree in Photography
  • Foundation Degree in Photography
  • Associateship of BIPP
  • Associateship of MPA

REDUCED ENTRY FEE TO RPS EXHIBITIONS FOR STUDENTS AND UNDER 25's
International Print Exhibition - Special prize for under 25's

The International Print Exhibition is the longest standing exhibition of its kind in the world. it has gained a reputation for showcasing a wide range of genres and styles of photography, with cutting edge prints being shown alongside traditional work.

This Exhibition has been well established within the photographic fraternity for many years and continues to attract a very high entry worldwide.

THE RPS JOURNAL
The RPS Journal is packed with features of relevance to today’s student, of particular relevance to students are regular features RPS Student Focus, which takes an in depth look at the work of one student member each issue, and Coming up Fast, a double page article on the work of a promising newcomer.

RPS BURSARIES - NEW CLOSING DATES TO BE ANOUNCED

RPS Jeff Vickers/Genix Imaging Bursary
1. To support professional or potential professional photographers in commercial photography.

RPS Postgraduate Bursaries
2. To support postgraduate students undertaking photographic research or studying Masters courses in photography.

RPS Regional and Group Bursary
3. To enable young photographers to attend selected Society Regional and Group events that they would not normally be able to afford.

Joan Wakelin Bursary
The Joan Wakelin Bursary offers photographers £2,000 and the chance to have their work published in the Guardian. The Bursary, administered by the Guardian and The Royal Photographic Society, is awarded to the photographer who presents the best proposal for a photographic essay on an overseas social documentary issue. Submission is open to all, with no restriction on age or qualification.
