Some of the most exciting flora can be found in the heart of London at the Chelsea Physic Garden and we are delighted to offer a photographic workshop here with Clive Rathband FRPS and Joan Ryder Rathband FRPS.
We are offering two photographic experiences and participants can either choose one or mix and match.
Option One: Flora through a Natural History lens
Improve your Natural History skills with tips, tricks and guidance from our experts. What makes a good shot? What is acceptable within a Natural History definition? How much post-processing is permitted? These and other questions will be answered via demonstration and practical tasks.
Option Two: A Creative Approach
If you enjoy plant photography, but perhaps don’t want the rigidity of a Natural History framework, then the creative option could be the way to go. From the basics of framing and composition, through to more advanced creative styling, learn how to turn your plant pictures into an artistic masterpiece.
- Participants will work at their own pace under guidance from Clive and Joan, so the workshop is suitable for all levels of experience.
- This workshop is open to both RPS-Members and Non-Members.
- Coffee and tea (included in price) at 11.00. Workshop starts at 11.30 until 17.00. Lunch not included.
- Cost - £40 RPS members; £45 Non-Members. Please note there is also an admission fee to the Garden, payable on the door (£9.90 including gift aid).
