The Royal Photographic Society Distinctions are recognised as the most prestigious in the photographic world. There are three levels, the Associateship is the second level of the Society’s Distinctions and is a significant step up from the first level, the Licentiateship.
The Professional and Applied Panel incorporates Documentary, Portraiture, Record, Theatrical, Visual Journalism and Wedding photography. Applied Photography can be defined, for the purposes of the panel, as photography which is used to illustrate record, promote or inform on a specific subject or project.
It is essential that you book onto an assessment day in order for your panel of work to be assessed for the ARPS.
There are only 26 places available each day for the ARPS Professional & Applied assessments so it is important to book ahead of time.
