Event - Seamus Murphy The Sons of Stonecutter Street, Kabul, lecture.

On Seamus Murphy’s first trip to Afghanistan in 1994 he stayed briefly with the Ba Deli family. They lived in the Shor Bazaar district on Stonecutter Street in Kabul's Old City. Seamus has photographed them over the intervening 20 years, chronicling one Afghan family's struggle and survival through the country's turbulent recent history. This year he made a short film for Channel 4 News using his archive of black and white stills and moving images shot prior to the April elections.
