This event is now fully booked. The RPS Historical has been given a rare opportunity to have a private visit to the Derby studio of W W Winter Ltd which has been in business since 1855. Those attending will be given a tour of the studio and archives and will be able to learn more about a major digitisation project of the studios collection of historic negatives. The company has just secured Lottery Funding to work on its photographic archive. See: http://www.wwwinter.co.uk/historyandheritage.html
Assemble at 10.30am at the main exit from Derby Railway Station – the studio is only approx.. 200 yards from the station.
In the afternoon we will visit the newly refurbished Local Studies Library for a tour of the new facility and a chance to view some interesting objects.
The event is free but numbers are limited. Delegates will need to provide for their own lunch between locations.
