~South Wales RPS Audio Visual Group - Linda Gibbs MPAGB, AV-AFIAP, and Edgar Gibbs FRPS, MPAGB, AV-AFIAP present their “Digital Magic Lantern Show” - a miscellany of digital stories, images and sounds. They will take you behind the scenes on the making of their sequence “A Rich Legacy” – the life of Dylan Thomas, talk about the difference between AV and Photo Harmony with some examples, and show some golden oldies for those who may not have seen them before and for those who would like to see them again!
~Audio Visual (AV) is the art form of dissolving two or more still photographic images with sound accompaniment to create a sequence which can be shown on your television or projected onto a large screen. With modern technology, the sequences are created entirely digitally on a computer, with storytelling central to the AV production. We have a varied programme which includes evenings when we share our sequences with each other, visiting speakers from other parts of the UK, and inter-club battles. If you are interested then please come along; you would be made most welcome. You do not have to be a member of the Royal Photographic Society.
