Light Works is The Royal Photographic Society's exhibition to celebrate the International Year of Light 2015. It consists of 50 2 x 1½ metre photographs displayed outdoors. The exhibition is free to the public.
The fifty images provide a virtual journey through the electromagnetic spectrum from gamma rays to radio waves, showing how each kind of ‘light’ is used in our everyday lives through science, technology and medicine.
The images explore ways of looking at ourselves and the world around us in a journey that takes us to visible and invisible worlds from inside our own bodies to the outer reaches of the very edge of space!
