Howard Bagshaw ARPS is an established expert in the preparation of Audio Visual sequences and is Chairman of the RPS AV Special Interest Group.
The object of the full day presentation will be to encourage photographers to consider applying for an RPS distinction in the multimedia category by the submission of AV sequences and it is intended that a Multimedia Advisory Day will be held in the Region in 2016.
The available software will be reviewed briefly, but the lecture will be based on the use of WinSoft PicturesToExe in conjunction with Audacity.
The lecture will address the identification of suitable subjects, the selection and preparation of material, story telling and the technical aspects of the creation of an AV sequence employing slide transition, animation, the addition of titles and the inclusion of video clips. These techniques will be illustrated by demonstrations of the presenter's work. Copyright issues will also be considered.
The event will be of interest to photographers with different levels of experience. Depending on the interest generated, workshops may be organised in the future whereby small groups may be able to bring their own computers and receive one to one direction.
Those wishing to attend are asked to register and pay through the RPS website. In the event that there are any problems with this process, please contact the Regional Organiser.
