A Day of Street Photography organised by the East Midland's Region which will result in a collaborative book covering the 2015 Nottingham Milk Race.
Between 1958 and 1993, The Milk Race was the most prestigious cycling event in the British calendar but it ended when the Milk Marketing board disbanded.
However it returns once more again to Nottingham this year and we are putting together a street photography day that will include a short workshop covering the techniques and skills needed to cover such an event. If you are an experienced street photographer then you are not required to attend this and are still welcome to join the team for the day
The majority of the day will be spent covering the event. You can approach your individual photography in whatever manner you want.
After the event you will be invited to contribute to a book of the event. We worked on a similar collaboration recently at Park Hill Flats in Sheffield and ended up producing a very well received 300 page book.
You can see the images from the book by clicking here
The day starts at 9am and finishes at 6pm - you can stay for the whole day or leave early if you prefer.
