The Advisory Day is now full for participants, but there is plenty of space in the hall for observers. Since it's possible that one or more participants may drop out before the event, please email Ann Miles FRPS if you would like to join a waiting list for any places which might become available.
This day is for anyone, whether or not a member of the RPS, to obtain constructive advice on proposed submissions for the LRPS or ARPS Distinction or to enjoy the day as an observer.
For the LRPS you will need to bring a panel of 10 prints or digital files together with up to 10 spares. Prints should be mounted but not framed.
For the ARPS you will need to bring 15 prints or digital files again with up to 10 spares if possible. Prints should be mounted but not framed. It may be advantageous to prepare a “Statement of Intent” setting out your thinking behind the proposed panel.
This is a great opportunity to see a large number of images and to learn a little about the criteria required. Based on experience with previous events, this should be an enjoyable and stimulating day for everyone taking part.
We will fairly quickly reach the maximum number of panels that we can accommodate for advice though there should be plenty of space for observers.
Arrival, registration and tea/coffee will be from 10:00 with the event starting at 10:30. There will be a lunch break of about 1 hour around 13:00, with the afternoon ending at about 16:30. Tea/coffee will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch.
1 If a non-member joins The Society within a period of three months from the date of the Advisory Day a reduction of £5 may be claimed against the joining fee. If requested, a certificate will be issued on the day.
