The Lord Mayor’s Show
The office of Lord Mayor dates from 1189 and it was a requirement of the establishing charter that upon the beginning of the term the Mayor travelled to the royal enclave at Westminster to be presented to the monarch's representatives, the senior judges, as Barons of the Exchequer, and take an oath of loyalty to the Sovereign. On the day after being sworn in, the Lord Mayor of London and others, participate in a procession from the Mansion House via St Paul's Cathedral, to the Royal Courts of Justice on the edge of the City of Westminster.
Timings (and a map) for this event are published at https://lordmayorsshow.london/day/
This event will be for the more experienced members of the Street group. We will attempt to document it from different viewpoints, to achieve a broader view than we could from a single location. This means it may not be practical to have set meeting points.
