Risley Moss was opened on 23rd September 1980 by David Bellamy. It is an area of peat bog, a site of special scientific interest and a Nature Reserve.
There is a woodland hide for photographing birds. There are many dragonflies and damselflies and fungi to photograph.
Also, Risley Moss is easy to access from the M62 motorway.
