INTRODUCTION TO YOUR DIGITAL SLR
For those with a digital SLR camera who wish to learn about F-stops, shutter speeds, ISO settings, composition and creative picture taking.
Please note that this course is specifically designed for Digital SLR cameras, however should you wish to use a compact digital camera then please contact john.roe@omni-digital.com
What the day will cover
Experiment with and investigate the functions of your digital camera with help from a professional tutor. Here you will gain experience and understanding of F-stops, shutter speeds, ISO settings, digital image types, metering modes, depth of field and basic composition.
Out and About
Transfer your developed understanding into hands-on practice as you go out and about in Bath photographing with your tutor.
Back at The Royal Photographic Society HQ
Images will be reviewed and discussed in an informal setting within the group and the tutor will give helpful feedback and advice. The number seen will depend on the time available.
What to bring
Digital camera, your camera manual, USB lead or USB card reader and a CD-R or a flash drive for your notes. Please empty your cameras memory card before attending the course.
Bring a packed lunch or use local facilities. Drinks provided. You will need to have appropriate clothing for walking and weather conditions.

Parking: There is no parking at the RPS on week days but there are spaces available in the surrounding streets. At weekends you can park in the RPS car park which is accessed to the left of the building through a gateway.
