** FULLY BOOKED FOR ADVICE **
Spaces are still available for spectators.
Online bookings closed.
This advisory day is intended to provide guidance to those whom are considering applying for Licentiateship and for Associateship in categories of Applied or Pictorial.
Panel assessors include Walter Benzie HonFRPS, Vanessa Slawson FRPS and Nick Scott FRPS.
You will have the opportunity to receive guidance on your proposed panel and its preparation. The panel assessors will introduce the advisory day and show examples of successful panels. You will then be invited to display your images for comment and consideration. This will be an open session and spectators are welcome to attend. As a participant, you should bring your prints that you consider could form the basis for a panel. Before you attend please make sure you have read the Distinctions Handbook which contains important information on requirements, categories and criteria regarding the panels. This can be downloaded from the RPS website www.rps.org/distinctions. It is advisable to bring along between 5-10 spare images.
Spectating is a good way to learn about the distinctions system and to see the advice given. Spectators must not bring any of their own work to the event. Please do not bring work on the off-chance that it can be judged. Only panels that have been booked can be assessed.
We will start promptly at 10.00am and is expected to finish around 4pm.
DOORS OPEN AT 09:30AM
All attendance must be booked in advance. Bookings are strictly limited so book early.
Free Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring a packed lunch
We also welcome Longridge Mount Cutting Systems who will be present to give you an insight into their products in preparation to a panel submission. More details can be viewed on their website www.longridge.co.uk
