With his degrees in Physics and Astronomy, Dr. Tony Kaye ASIS FRPS worked for over two decades as the Quality Leader for colour negative film for Kodak's European, African and Middle Eastern Region. He also chaired both the RPS Science Committee and the Imaging Science Group.We have asked him to talk about the physics of light, touching on area like imaging beyond the visible, the eye, colour blindness and optical illusions.

Phillip Joyce ARPS DPAGB discusses his pictures and approach to photography in "Short Stories". He looks at subjects like zoos, street life, total strangers, being a dog, Gypsy communities and Pride events. With a documentary sensibility he will talk about engaging with his subjects and adding a personal element through composition and viewpoint, as well as overcoming the challenges of poor light in many of the locations he visits.
