This annual event has been held for many years as the Group Conference, and is being continued with a renewed focus on attracting new attendees and speakers as well as welcoming our more regular participants. We welcome all those with an interest in archaeology/heritage.
The Institute in Leatherhead is convenient for access from the M25, and there is a frequent rail service from London to Leatherhead. Refreshments are served from 1000, with presentations commencing 1030. We break for lunch and finish in the late afternoon. Members make their own arrangements for lunch, but many congregate in the ‘Edmund Tylney’ in Leatherhead High Street, just a couple of minutes’ walk away.
There are usually six or seven presentations of varying length on a range of archaeology and heritage topics, reflecting the wide interest of our members. Each has a specific theme, built around good quality images taken by the presenter. The presentations are intended both to enlighten members on the topic and to showcase the photography.
The event is a good opportunity to meet members of the Group, and to learn about their photography interests through discussion as well as the presentations themselves.
We wish to encourage those who have not presented before to consider doing so. Images can be in the form of prints or digital projected images. Help is available for those requiring assistance with the latter, and projection equipment will be provided.
Please contact the organiser if you wish to know more about the event. More details will be given nearer the date.
Cost - £15.00 (£10.00 for group members, free to presenters). Please pay on the day.
