RPS London has once again teamed up with the Nikon School to offer our members excellent training courses at competitive prices.

On this Nikon School Masterclass you will learn how to light and capture classic Film Noir images. We will show you how to re create the timeless Hollywood lighting look which is seldom used these days in photography. Film Noir lighting can be challenging, but also brings many creative opportunities. Learn how to take advantage of this by using simple lighting setups and concepts to produce great images.

Learn with us as we shoot a portfolio of Film Noir inspired images. We will run through everything involved from camera settings, lighting placement to working with multiple light sources to create depth and drama to your images. Working with both interior locations, join us to learn the art of Film Noir photography.

Topics covered include:
• What is Film Noir?
• Equipment needed
• Lighting Concepts
• Film Noir lighting setups
• Camera settings
• Image composition
• Managing light quality & shadows
• Creating depth & drama with light
