Bolton Abbey offers a range of riverside and woodland walks. Highlights include the Strid and the ruins of the 12th Century priory. There are some trails accessible to wheelchair users, while others may wish to make their way up the Valley of Desolation to photograph Posforth Force.

We will meet outside the Cavendish Pavilion at 9:30, where we will also meet for lunch. From there it is possible to walk to most vantage points. However, car park tickets are also valid for the Strid Wood and Sandholme car parks should anyone wish to drive between locations.

Midweek car parking is currently £4 a day, a reduced admission fee due to the possible closure of paths for maintenance. Further information about the location can be found at www.boltonabbey.com.
