Holy Week is a perfect time for a return visit to Jerez with daily processions complete with marching bands representing scenes from the Passion.
Everyday there are thrilling processions, marching bands and exquisitely decorated floats representing the Passion of Christ. It is possible to mingle with the processions and really take advantage of opportunities to photograph these emotionally moving events. Jerez is also full of quintessential Andalusian architecture, flower-bedecked squares and ancient streets lined with orange trees.
Trips during the day will be to places in the surrounding area, including Saville, Cadiz and Sanlucar de Barrameda. Naturally there will be plenty of opportunity to sample the local cuisine and wine!
The trip is being organised in association with Christopher Pollard Tours: Chris is already well know to members of the Travel Group as having organised highly successful tours for the group previously to Jerez and elsewhere, and has been resident in Spain for nearly 20 years.
The cost is £1925 (single supplement £180), inclusive of fares ex-UK to Saville, accommodation, all meals and local transport. All you need is money for coffee and churros! For a detailed itinerary and booking form, contact Colin Howard.
