Nunhead Cemetery http://www.fonc.org.uk is probably the least known of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ Victorian cemeteries although it’s the second largest. It’s now a local nature reserve with an abundance of wildlife amid its woodland and imposing memorials. We’ll spend a couple of hours wandering through and photographing it before (optionally) retiring to a local pub for lunch.

Friends of Nunhead Cemetery run a regular tour on the last Sunday of the month at 2:15 pm so you could return in the afternoon for this if you wish.

Paths may be uneven and wet so please wear appropriate footwear and bring a drink to keep you hydrated.

We meet at Nunhead Station which is served by Thameslink. There is a train from Blackfriars which arrives at 10:27. Please let us know if you will be coming by train. If you are coming by car or bus we can meet you at the Linden Grove entrance to the cemetery at about 10:40.

WE HAVE RECENTLY BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH OUR ON-LINE BOOKING SYSTEM (BLUE BUTTON) ABOVE.  IF YOU DO HAVE A PROBLEM BOOKING A PLACE, PLEASE E-MAIL LONDON-NATURALLY@RPS.ORG AND THEY WILL BE ABLE TO RESERVE A PLACE FOR YOU.
