This is a rare opportunity to visit one of the last working quarries in North Wales, it promises to be an interesting and fascinating visit. We will be taken by coach from Penmaenmawr to the top of the mountain with a guide telling the story and relaying interesting facts and statistics. From the summit we will have the opportunity to enjoy the vista and take some photographs. We will then be taken by our coach to other parts of the working quarry, including the bottom of the 250 metre crater which hides behind the mountain front, here we will see more of the actual workings of the quarry. Normally, only quarry employees are allowed access to this restricted area but negotiations are ongoing to allow our party to step off the coach at this point to take more photographs. We will meet our coach on Bangor Road, Penmaenmawr at 7pm outside Brooks Tarpaulins Ltd LL34 6LF. Parking is available in the vicinity.
**This evening visit is open to RPS members and non-members.**
