Duo Dance Classic and Contemporary Lighting Workshop

In this new lighting workshop you will be working with two top professional dance models Kate and Sandy learning how to create lighting for Classic Ballet and Modern Dance techniques.

Kate and Sandy are both classically trained dancers and have worked together for many years in professional dance troops.  They will be performing both ballet and modern/contemporary dance sets to enable you to develop skills in taking images of the moving form.

Jon Gray will be demonstrating several different lighting set ups and with his assistance you will be shooting on a one to one with the models.

Workshop technical content:

  • Use of Apertures and shutter speeds to create movement.
  • Using Bowens lighting you will be learning how to create different lighting techniques for both styles of dance images, as well as using different lighting modifiers to get a different look.
  • How to direct and create lighting for two dancers.
