The Parkland Walk, part of the Capital Ring, follows the course of the old railway that ran between Finsbury Park and Alexandra Palace. We will be walking the eastern section of the walk between Highgate and Finsbury Park – a distance of approximately 2 miles.

It is London’s longest nature reserve with a wide range of habitats and wildlife. Also its bridges and remains of former railway buildings provide a canvas for graffiti artists so there really is something for everyone on this walk.

Paths may be uneven and wet so please wear appropriate footwear and bring a drink to keep you hydrated.

We meet outside Highgate Station, on the corner of the junction of Shepherds Hill and Archway Road (opposite the Jackson’s Lane Community Centre) which is just a few minutes from the start of the Parkland Walk.

Cancellation policy

This event is free but bookings are necessary because numbers are limited . If you book a place but subsequently find you are unable to come, please let us know so that your place can be allocated to someone on the waiting list.

Hearing and access requirements

We will be walking on some rough, unmade paths which may be muddy, so please wear appropriate footwear and bring a drink to keep you hydrated
