Topic 1: Categorising tools in Lightroom
Overview of folders, stacks, collections and different rating methods
Topic 2: Keyword essentials
Practical keywording on import and adding keywords by text
Topic 3: Smart keywording
Efficient methods for keywording volumes of images using the keyword list, paint can and sync metadata methods
Topic 4: Image searching methods
Retrieval techniques using the Library Filter, Filter Keywords and Smart Collections
Topic 5: Advanced techniques
Developing a Keyword hierarchy to create more sophisticated categories and searches
Topic 6: Using the Map module
Learn how to geotag your images with GPS data and manual methods
16.00 Review and recap of the day
What you need to bring along
A USB stick or portable hard drive with 250 of your own images – alternatively the tutor will provide sample files for you to work with.
Please bring a packed lunch or use local amenities – There is a Co-op, pub and deli open on Saturday, the Deli is shut on the Sunday.

Parking: There is no parking at the RPS on week days but there are spaces available in the surrounding streets. At weekends you can park in the RPS car park which is accessed to the left of the building through a gateway.
