The Bookworm Club is excited to be starting a new book this month so this is a great time to come along if you haven't been before! The book is Art Photography by David Bate who is Professor of Photography at the University of Westminster. The beautifully produced book (Tate Publishing) came out in 2015 and is available in paperback.

It is a exciting book packed with ideas about photography and its relationship to art and culture today. In this first session we will be discussing the Introduction, and the first chapter 'The Idea of Photography'. A member of the group, Romney Tansley, will be introducing the discussion.

Do come and join us. We are a friendly informal group and we meet in a private room at the Crusting Pipe wine bar where the refreshments always aid the flow of ideas!

Each month we will be exploring the ideas in a different chapter. But we also hope to fit in some other activities like visits to an exhibition in addition to the regular monthly meeting
