Flower portraits:  a very personal approach to flower photography which is similar to portrait photography. Polina aims for a unique look for every flower and plant that she photographs. Her objective is a creative interpretation of the mood, and character and to reveal the hidden beauty of her subjects.

Polina neither aims at creating an accurate natural/botanical image, nor tries to picture a flower in its natural habitat.  She will be covering some of the iconic paintings and photographs of her favourite artists and photographers who were fascinated with flowers.

Polina will also discuss some styles and techniques she will be teaching at the workshop to be held on Sunday 7th January 2018

Still Life: An introduction to composition, light, textures and colours that Polina uses when creating her still life setups. Her starting point is to create an image in her mind's eye, and will only start taking the photographs after all details have been thought through. There will be schematic illustrations to show her studio hardware and to demonstrate various stages of putting together a still life setup.
