A leisurely walk along the Grand Union Canal towpath from Alperton to Greenford. This stretch of the canal provides a pleasant country-like walk, which skirts the green acres of Greenford Golf Course and Perivale Wood until we reach the Paradise Fields Wetlands at Horsenden Hill, where we will make our way to Greenford Station.

We will meet outside Alperton Underground Station (Piccadilly line) at 10:30am. The group walk along the canal towpath will finish at about around 13:00 at Paradise Fields; it is then a short walk to Greenford Underground Station (Central line).

Refreshment facilities are available near Alperton and Greenford Stations.

Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day with sturdy footwear and a drink to keep you hydrated. Do bear in mind that the towpaths can become muddy if we have had rain.
