A walk full of delights and surprises with something for everyone!

After a short walk from Boston Manor Station we start our circular tour with a stroll through the park past the lake to the nature trail. We follow the trail taking in woodland, a river and a canal as well as passing under a dramatic motorway flyover. We then cross the canal back into the park with its herbaceous borders and splendid trees.

At the end of the walk we reach the Grade I listed Jacobean Manor House which should be open for an optional visit. It’s worth taking the opportunity to do this as the house will shortly be closed for two years for refurbishment.

Options for refreshment at the end of the walk are a small café (fairly basic) in the Park or a Harvester pub/restaurant just beyond the station.

There are toilets in the station (20p) but remember you’ll need to use them before exiting through the ticket barrier. There are also toilets in the café at the end of the walk.

There’s a nice little coffee shop adjacent to the station which should be open at the start of the walk. Somewhere to pop into if you arrive early!

There is a car park in the Park for anyone who wants to come by car. Please let us know if you’re doing this so we won’t be waiting for you at the station. From the car park you’ll need to take a short walk through the park, past the house to meet us at the entrance by the lake (shown in the photo). We should be there by about 10:40.
