For thirty years, Ray has specialised in Fine Art Monochrome printing and alternative printing processes. Since 1988 he has worked in digital imaging and combines both new and traditional technologies in his work.

Ray is a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society and has served on the distinctions panel for Visual Art and is the past Chairman of the Printing Panel.

Ray’s work is held in many private collections in the UK and the USA and the Permanent Collection of The Royal Photographic Society. He is also a prolific author of magazine articles and books on photographic technique.

This is a hands on workshop which will show you how to emulate alternative techniques from Cyanotype and Liquid emulsion, to Polaroid effects.

Images taken on the workshop will then be printed using a variety of papers from archival cotton rag to glossy Fibre based papers using both dye and pigment inks.

Finally the work will be archivally matted and mounted ready for the gallery wall.
