One-day workshops with leading professional garden photographer Clive Boursnell. Clive has over 35 years’ experience in photographing plants and gardens and has published work in all the leading garden and lifestyle magazines and newspapers. Clive’s approach will be very much about the outdoor environment; participants will work outside in any weather except storms and high winds! He will encourage participants to ‘see’ the light properly and to be able to predict its effects on the scenes in front of the photographer. He will discuss and demonstrate framing in the viewfinder, the rules of composition and how to break them. He will also focus on the importance of being able to criticise one’s own work to select the best shot of the day.
Two residents of Lacock Village have kindly agreed to letting participants photograph their gardens - these gardens are very different and will demand different skills and techniques. There will also be the chance to see this years Garden Photographer of the Year Exhibition which is on show in the Abbey grounds.
This workshop is run in partnership with The International Garden Photographer of the Year - www.igpoty.com
