‘The Mountain Scene’ by Tom Dodd FRPS

Tom’s interest in both mountaineering and photography has existed, for some 45 plus years. He is often asked which came first. The answer of course is the mountains, because without that involvement, the photography could not have followed.
The exhibition consists of some 30 mountain landscapes in both black & white and colour, from Snowdonia to the European Alps to the Arctic. Some images were taken as far back as the late 1970’s, others as recently as 2009, a few are of a completely unexplored part of Greenland. They are a small selection of many images in Tom’s collection, but hopefully convey something of the mountain environment which has had, and still does have, such a profound effect on his life.
