The next Midlands Digital sub-Group event will be held on 19 September and will be a full day presented by Brian Beaney FRPS.
Brian, a superb graphics artist, produces images digitally painted with light creating moods and atmospheres aimed to epitomise the peace and tranquillity of scenes and landscapes.
The projected-image presentation, called "Beyond the Moment of Capture," will feature the original images, move through the methods used to produce the final exhibition print, provide relevant technical information and show how the images are constructed using photoshop.
The majority of the pictures to be shown have been accepted in various exhibitions, including the RPS International Exhibitions and at the London Salon of Photography. They have won many awards and prizes both at home and abroad.

MIDIG meetings are held at The Old School House, Churchbridge Road, Oldbury, West Midlands and details of the meeting are on the MIDIG website www.midig.org, plus lots of other info including a map showing the location (just off the M5, junct 2).
The meeting starts at 10:30am and finishes at 4:00pm. The doors open at 9:30am and first-come first-served for a choice of seat! Coffee/tea on arrival and at lunchtime is free, there is a bar. Bring your own sandwiches for lunch.
