This two day workshop allows more time to practice and learn the skills and tehniques needed for great garden photography. The workshop wil tackle different challenges from the one day workshop enabling participants to learn further skills and take photographs at different times of day.
The group will be small – only twelve and while shooting this will be split to enable the tutor to work with people on an individual basis. This workshop is aimed at those who love plant and garden photography and who may be thinking of entering the profession.

Day 1
Time:12 noon – 7pm
12 – 2pm
Introduction from tutors with examples of work, tips and tricks and what’s in the bag - invaluable information on what you need from the bare minimum to the hi-tech, whilst being given an insight into the tutors' professional workflows'.
2pm -2.45pm Lunch
2.45pm – 3.30pm
Guided walk around the garden with the tutors to identify different points of interest.
3.30pm - 4.30pm
A practical demonstration in two small groups covering the equipment needed
to control natural light in different and difficult situations and macro lens techniques.
4.30pm – 7pm
Shooting, with help and guidance from your tutors.
Day 2
Time: 6am – 1pm
6am – 8am
Shooting time – catching the first light and putting into practice what you learnt on day one.
8am Breakfast (provided)
9am – 11am
Group 1 – Down loading images – The importance of storing your images correctly, how and why – you will also down load and save your images for discussion.
Group 2 – stock photography with examples of what libraries look for. As well as information on entering competitions and copyright issues.
The groups will swap activities after an hour.
11am – 1pm
Critique, an informal, friendly discussion on some of your selected images and a chance to ask questions.
WHAT TO BRING
Camera, tripod, a spare memory card and appropriate clothing, spare batteries. Breakfast (on the second day) will be provided however you will need to bring a packed lunch or purchase food from the tearoom or local amenities.
You will need to know the basic functions of your camera.
