'Vision ' through the eyes of an Artist 

My images using Art techniques in Photoshop, changing image to give a more painterly feel 

 

Rikki will be visiting us from Dundee. I have heard much about Rikki and am extremely delighted that he has agreed to travel all this was to lecture to us another day not to be missed.

Personal Statement

 I am a creative photographer and artist by profession. Over the past 30 years I have combined my artistic and photographic skills to produce award-winning images in monochrome, colour and more recently through digital techniques.

My photography essentially is about images that try to evoke emotion with the viewer. My personal approach to my photography aims to create a “painterly” quality and through vision and my artistic skills I have produced unique images that have won acclaim both nationally and internationally.

I have exhibited in major group exhibitions and more recently have had six, one-man exhibitions. My artistic photographs have been published as illustrations in a national magazine.

I am on the Roll of Honour of the Scottish Photographic Federation. As a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society I have served on the Visual Arts Associateship and Fellowship Panels for the past 10 years .

I am also a Fellow of the Irish Photographic Federation and a Master of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and have been elected as a member of the London salon.

Present Position

I currently work as a free-lance artist/illustrator of children’s books. I am a cartoonist with a Scottish Newspaper and produce artistic photographs for national magazines.
