The RPS Historical Group have secured prefrential access to two important photography collections in Newcastle: 

11.00 a.m. The Side Gallery: Guided visit  to the current exhibition followed by talk on the Gallery's collection policy and collections.

2.30 p.m. Visit to the University of Newcastle Library to see the very early and unique H L Pattinson Niagara daguerreotypes of c1840 (see:http://www.ncl.ac.uk/library/specialcollections/collections/daguerreotypes/  and other items for the universoty photographic archives and collections.
