The event.
This event is open for everybody, member or non-member of the Royal Photographic Society.
For those who come to seek guidance on a distinction panel for the Licentiateship, Associateship and Fellowship please brings printed images and a proposed hanging plan as you would like them to be submitted. For the Associate and Fellowship, you should also bring the draft of your written statement. As a suggestion, you might want to take some additional prints for consideration by the Panel members, and should note that prints need not to be mounted. As a recommendation the printed images should be around 30 x 20 cm.
You can also bring projected images as an alternative to the printed images. It is important that you have selected preferred set of images in order you would like to be submitted.
You are also welcome to observe, it will be a valuable yet enjoyable experience to see a wide variety of photographic works and discussion on them.
The Distinction Advisory will be conducted by:
Roy Robertson HonFRPS : Roy is President of the Royal Photographic Society and Chairman of the Fellowship Board. He previously chaired the Exhibitions Committee and was responsible for Overseas and Regional organisations. He was Scottish Regional Organiser for 19 years and has served on the Licentiate Panel.
Ray Spence FRPS : Ray is Chairman of the RPS Visual Arts panel and the Printing panel. Member of the Exhibitions Committee. Ray is a full time lecturer in Photography at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design (Birmingham City University)
