MORNING: HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE (HDRI) PHOTOGRAPHY
Jeff Morgan

If you have ever photographed a high contrast scene, you know that selecting the correct exposure means compromising either the bright highlights or the dark shadows. High dynamic range imaging (HDRI for short) is a set of techniques that allow a far greater dynamic range of exposure than normal digital imaging techniques.
In this presentation you will learn how to capture HDR images on your digital camera. You will find out not only how to process these images in Photoshop CS5, HDRsoft PhotoMatix, Nik HDR Efex Pro, Unified Color's 32 Float and Oloneo HDRengine, but also combine them for the best effect.

AFTERNOON: TOTAL FITNESS WORKOUT
Jeff Morgan

Are you stuck in a rut with your photography? Would you like to get some new ideas about how to improve your image-making skills? Total Fitness Workout will give you exercises you can practice to expand your creativity and strengthen your skills. You'll learn some techniques and procedures that will enable you to quickly improve your pictures and communicate with greater visual impact.
This presentation will cover two sets of exercises. The first is designed to help you increase your compositional and aesthetic skills, and the second set covers the technical controls you can use to bring your artistic vision to life. After all, true artists not only see creatively but are also masters of their craft.

About our Speaker: Jeff is a professional photographer who lives in Bath, England. He started his photography company, Elm Studio, in USA in 2002 and in the early days focused mostly on architectural and location photography. Lately Jeff’s love of teaching has resulted in his photographic tutorials being published extensively in PhotoPlus. His images and articles have also appeared in Practical Photoshop, Digital Camera, TechRadar and other photographic magazines in Europe, USA and China.
As someone who is continually practicing his craft, Jeff finds it important to study and stay up-to date. Some of his recent assignments have included star trails, light painting, reenactments, time-lapse and low-level aerial photography. He enjoys sharing his photographic expertise with others and likes to blend a photographer’s technique with an artist’s creative hand. His workshops blend both creative and technical aspects of photography and provide the chance to explain complex technical concepts in ways that students easily grasp.
