This outing to the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London affords an opportunity to visit the RIBA Library and Photographic Archive, and to see and discuss some of the many thousands of photographs, old and new, held there. We will meet at the RIBA offices at 2.00 p.m., and the visit is expected to last until approximately 4.00 p.m.
Formed in 1834, and accorded the Royal Charter in 1837. the RIBA is a professional body for architects in the U.K. and abroad, and champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and its members. Parts of the site are open to the public, which includes an exhibition space and architectural bookshop.
