Dan Heller will describe and illustrate some of his travel adventures and how he has built the “work” element of photography into the “craft” of photography.

Dan Heller is a freelance photographer from Santa Cruz, California, and has been involved in the photo business since 1995. As a photographer, he shoots for the travel industry, and was one of the first to start an online stock photography website. He has also served as an industry analyst for the stock photography industry, which has resulted in several books on the business of photography. He is also the executive director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at UC Santa Cruz, where he teaches courses in entrepreneurship.
