In connection with the Festival of British Archaeology, St. George's Church in Esher is hosting an exhibition by the Archaeology & Heritage Group entitled 'Church Architecture and Heritage'. This will consist of around 50 images take by Group members of churches and artefacts from Saxon times to the 20th century.
The exhibition is free, but donations to the Churches Conservation Trust are welcome. The church itself is one of the more interesting in Surrey, and is cared for by the Trust.
The exhibition is open from 1100 to 1600 on Saturday 14th July, Sunday 15th July, Saturday 21st July and Sunday 22nd July.
PLEASE NOTE: The exhibition is also open during the week (Monday 16th to Friday 20th) by appointment only. Please contact Rodney Thring (see above) to arrange a midweek visit
