LRPS

ARPS Visual Arts

ARPS  Professional and Applied  Update 1 November . Unless I get at least two more bookings for this section by 8 November I will have to cancel the advisor.

Cost for Members £15 if submitting work.
Cost for Non-Members £20 if submitting work (Note: if a non-member joins The Society within a period of three months from the date of the Advisory Day a reduction of £5 may be claimed against the joining fee – If requested, a certificate will be issued on the day)
Observor:  £10

This day is for anyone, whether or not a member of the RPS, to obtain constructive advice on proposed submissions for the LRPS or Visual Art ARPS Distinction or to enjoy the day as an observer.

For the LRPS, you need to bring a panel of 10 prints (prints recommended), digital files together with up to 10 spares. Prints should be mounted but NOT framed.

For Visual Art ARPS and Professional and Applied ARPS, you will need to bring 15 prints, (prints are recommended) digital files again with up to 10 spares if possible.  Prints should be mounted if possible (please advice if not mounted) but NOT framed. It may be advantageous to prepare a “Statement of Intent” setting out your thinking behind the proposed panel.

This is a great opportunity for  everyone to see a huge number of images and to learn a little about the criteria required. All Categories cover an enormous range of work so we should have an enjoyable and stimulating day.
We will fairly quickly reach the maximum number of panels that we can accommodate for advice though there will be no limit on the number of observors.

Arrival, registration and tea/coffee will be from 10.00 with the event starting at 10.30.
There will be a lunch break of about 1 hour around 12.30 with the afternoon ending at about 4.00 -4.30pm.
Tea/coffee biscuits provided but please bring packed lunches.

Note: Advisory Days
Advisory days are planned with the Distinctions Manager, Andy Moore.  In order to plan ahead we are now keeping a waiting list of all those interested in attending such a day.  If you are interested please let me know and you will be given early notification of further planned days. We will need to know the category (i.e. L or A and whether Visual Art/Applied/Nature etc.) and whether your work will be presented in print, slide or digital form.
