Cost: £3 Entry and depending on numbers or £5 Entrance which includes a guided walk of the reserve if enough interest. 

Main subjects of interest Orchids including Bee (Ophrys apifera) and Lizard (Himantoglossum hircinum); Adder’s tongue (Ophioglossum vulgatum) and other flora. Butterflies, Dragon/Damselflies, Grass Snakes (Natrix natrix)and Common Lizard (Lacerta vivipara), woodland birds and Wasp Spider

Items to bring. Stout Shoes, Waterproofs, Flask of drink, and Packed Lunch Tripods and of course Cameras

Additional information: Suitable for disabled and wheelchairs in places,  In the afternoon we may move on to East Blean Woods for the rare Heath Fritillary butterflies

Directions from London and Dartford, Follow signs for M2 and Ramsgate and keep going straight on towards Ramsgate. From M2 keep straight on A299 Thanet way at first roundabout right hand lane 3rd exit Ramsgate, next Roundabout right hand lane and take 4th exit and the Nature reserve is immediately on your right and the entrance is where the trees stop.

 Directions from Sturry: Head for Ramsgate Just before you get to Sarre mill at the mini roundabout turn right and keep following that road until you almost reach the roundabout for the A299 the Entrance to the reserve is on your left just before the trees start
