Directions to Mere Sands Wood:

Travel along the A 59 (Liverpool-Preston road). Turn onto the B5246 road at RUFFORD towards MERE BROW, 1 mile north of Burscough Bridge or 12 miles south of Preston.
After about 11/2 miles look out for a sign for Mere Sands Wood to the left (the sign is at the turning).The car park is 400 metres along the track.

Meeting place: Reserve car park at 10-30 am
