    A Morning with Colin Jones

    Colin Jones graduated from a working-class childhood to the English Royal Ballet Company and danced with Rudolph Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn. He became a photographer for the Observer newspaper in 1962 and his reportage pictures of the Who and London's swinging sixties as well as his gritty images from England's Northeast have won him numerous awards and an international reputation.     This meeting on 16 May, is to be an inspiring presentation of surreal photography and imagery by Mark Mumford ARPS entitled "Gorilla in a Yellow Field."   Mark has been an artist and graphics designer, working with Photoshop since 1990, he has his own unique way of producing surreal landscapes, often using many layers to build an image from a basic landscape photograph.     Fete by the Lake is a local event at Watersmead near Aylesbury. Committee member Max Pickering ran a stand at this event on behalf of Thames Valley Region. There was considerable public interest, and Max was able to meet and greet a number of Society members. More info
