In the 1960/70/80 holiday makers flooded into Australia’s Gold Coast. Being fascinated in Human Interest photography, our Australian Chapter member, Graham Burstow FRPS appreciated the easy going and friendly lifestyle of this area and in company with his family, photographed Gold Coast life as much as he could.
Now it has been found that he was the only photographer that covered some aspects of this era and an exhibition will be held in October in the Powerhouse Gallery in Brisbane, before going to the Gold Coast in 2015. This exhibition titled “Flesh” has a historical line weaving through it. The image commentary is written by John Williams FRPS and Professor Peter Spearritt has highlighted the exhibition’s historical context.
