Jack is a member of the Licentiate Distinctions Panel, and frequently advises at the Distinctions workshops. He describes his photography as follows:

“I have chosen to show a selection of my favourite subjects taken over many years, ranging from the early Cibachrome prints through to the most recent panel display.

The resulting exhibition might appear to be rather disjointed, but there is one single, strong, thread throughout: - that every single image reflects my personal delight in pictorial qualities wherever I find them and shows my own style in expressing these through print.

It invites the viewer to reconstruct that single vision from the disparate elements presented.

I enjoy my photography, but I do so lightly, being never so serious that I can resist using it to raise a smile… as in my first image (of a fish bone) and in the second print which cheekily pokes fun at the inherent pretentiousness of exhibitions.”
