All those attending Society events are responsible for their own actions. Leaders will, to the best of their knowledge, inform those attending of any dangers or areas that could cause concern. All those aged under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

    RPS Historical Group London Photography Collections Visit

    RPS Historical Group Annual General Meeting 2012

    24th March 12

    Type: Lecture, Group: Historical, Region: Yorkshire The Society’s Historical Group will be holding a special event in the Kraszna Kraus Room, next to Insight, at the National Media Museum on Saturday 24 March 2012 from 10am to 4pm. The day will include: a special talk from Colin Harding, Curator of Photographic technology at the National Media Museum Dr Carolyn Bloore will talk about J Dudley Johnston (President of The Society 1923-25 and 1929-31) and The Northern Following lunch Colin will lead a tour of the Museum’s new exhibition, which he curated,  In the Blink of an Eye: Media and Movement which is on show in Galleries One and Two.     RPS Historical Group visit to The National Archives, Kew

    25th May 12

    Type: Other, Group: Historical, Region: London Steven Cable from The National Archives, Kew, will host the Historical Group and show some of the rich photographic treasures that TNA holds. These range from the Stationer's Hall copyright records, to government records containing photography, through to company records for photographic companies. More info
